Step by Step Guide to Cleaning & Maintaining Your Glass Fence

Clean glass ensures you get the perfect uninterrupted view of your pool or spa and yard.

Wondering how to keep your glass fence clean? Rest assured that its not hard, glass is actually one of the easiest fencing options to maintain. With proper care your glass fence will last many years.

For everyday cleaning:

  • Hose down glass panels & spigots
  • Spray lightly with window cleaner (or 50:50 mix vinegar and water)
  • Wipe dry with microfiber cloth or a squeegee

Alternatively:

  • Wash each panel using a non-abrasive sponge and a bucket of warm soapy water (use your regular dishwashing liquid)
  • Rinse off all suds with a hose
  • Use squeegee or allow to air dry (at shady time of day to avoid streaks)

Things to Remember:

  • Regular cleaning of your pool fence will make it an easy and effortless job.
  • Cleaning at a shady/cool time of day will help in avoiding streaks on glass.
  • Try to rinse off any potential stains as soon as you see them (ie bird poo, or grass stuck on after mowing) to cut back the need to scrub the glass and possibly scratch it.
  • If you live close to the ocean, be sure to avoid corrosion of your glass fences’ hardware by frequently hosing down your fence and drying all hardware (spigots, hinges) with a mircofibre cloth to wash away any sea salt that might have settled.
